The Benefits of Solid Shampoo Bars over Liquid?

Here at Organica, we're always striving to create new products that will truly benefit your health and your lives. From helping you sleep more soundly, to rejuvenating your skin, and even nourishing your hair - we've got it covered!

That's why we're launching another brand new product that we think you're going to love!

Introducing our new Organica ‘Sleepy Head’ Shampoo Bar - an environmentally friendly, solid shampoo bar made from our world class natural essential oils. And the most exciting part of it? It helps you relax & sleep!

The bar contains lavender oil, one of nature's most powerful relaxants, and a number of other hair-nourishing oils like lemon, lime and jojoba.

So, how do they scrub up?

Wondered how shampoo bars scrub up compared to liquid shampoo? They may or may not have made their way into your beauty regime yet, but here’s why you should consider making the switch.

You can rely on them to be made with more natural ingredients.

Unlike solid shampoo, liquid shampoo bars need detergents in them to lather up, so generally solid shampoo bars are made with less nasties in them. Solid shampoo bars are normally made using a traditional soap making process, meaning they use vegetable fat and lye, resulting in glycerine-rich soap which is super moisturizing and biodegradable.

They’re also generally better for the environment. As well as not needing additives added to them, solid shampoo need minimal packaging, and are smaller in size. This means less plastic, and fewer air miles. Win win!

They're great for travelling.

Shampoo bars are compact and won’t burden your baggage. Since they’re not a liquid, you don’t have to worry about keeping them in your carry-on, and there’s no risk of them leaking all over your holiday clothes! Long-lasting and light, this is one perfect product to accompany you around the world for every hair wash.

You get a lot more for your money.

It’s incredibly easy to overuse liquid shampoo, and it seems so many people waste expensive shampoo because they think they need more than they actually do. And it’s much more difficult to over use your solid shampoo bar.

Using a solid shampoo bar will actually last you around 80-100 washes depending on your hair type, length and thickness. Around the same as three 250g bottles of liquid shampoo. Impressive, huh?

They won't strip your hair.

Shampoo bars are mild and kinder on your scalp than many chemical-packed bottle products. Ordinary shampoo formulas are often toxic for your tresses, stripping your hair and scalp of natural oils and coating it in silicon-based substances and chemical preservatives. Natural shampoo bars replace this synthetic process with essential oils, to restore your hair to its former glory, making it soft, supple, and smelling fantastic.

How to use:

- Wet your hair

- Rub the bar between your hands to create a lather, or stroke it over your locks

- Gently massage it into the scalp and hair

- Rinse out – add a conditioner if preferred

- Leave the bar out to air dry, ready for next time

The verdict

We're all for shampoo bars at Organica, not only is is great for your pocket, but's great the the environment, and your hair! It might take a few washes to get used to how much to lather up and use, but after that you'll be left with cleaner and lighter hair, and it will be gentle on your scalp so you can avoid dandruff and dry ends.
