1. Drink Plenty of Water
I know, I know, it seems too obvious, but keeping your body hydrated is the most important thing to do during hot summer days. Not only will water help your body function but it will do wonders for your skin too. After all, hydrated skin is happy skin.
You see, we sweat a lot more in the hotter temperatures, which means our bodies are losing a lot of liquid, leaving us vulnerable to dehydration. The more water you drink, the easier it will be for your body to cope with the hotter environment without having to take water from other parts of your body, like your skin.
We all know that exfoliating is important when it comes to skincare, but when exposed to the sun, you might want to rethink your routine. Although it is necessary to help remove all the grit and dirt forced into your pores from the countless lotions and potions we apply to protect us from the sun, there is a bit of confusion when it comes to how often you should exfoliate during the summer.
If you’re planning to spend a lot of time tanning under the rays of the sun, you’re best off skipping a few scrubbing sessions.
